We had driven for 12 hours to attend a nearby event and ended up having no choice but to spend the night. My husband and I took turns sleeping because we were so scared. Please don’t bring your family here or stay alone. This was the worst, most disgusting hotel we’ve ever stayed in. The parking lot was covered in trash when we arrived, and sketchy people were walking around and staring. We could see people upstairs opening their curtains to watch us. It seemed like everyone knew each other. Groups of women and men were going in and out of different rooms, and the women seemed like they might be escorts. The front desk told us the elevator didn’t work and to avoid it, so we carried our luggage upstairs, though the elevator actually worked. The stairs and balconies smelled of urine, and there was trash on the balcony. Our room hit us with a really strong cigarette stench, and flies started coming out. There were flies all over the room. The bathroom smelled like vomit, with vomit smeared on the floor. The toilet was cracked, the tub was black, and the shower curtain was badly torn. The switch and fan were broken, there were holes in the ceiling, and the wall paint was peeling. The counters and bedside table were filthy, with nail polish stains, fingerprints, crumbs, and dust. There were visible handprints on the headboards too. The curtains, which should have been white, were yellow and smelled strongly of cigarettes. At night there were more sketchy people outside staring and smoking, what looked like obvious drug deals, and someone taking a car apart in the parking lot.

The key only gets programmed for one day, even though they tell you it’s set for a week, so you have to reactivate it every day and get charged each time. After 7:00, the parking lot turns into a place that isn’t family-friendly, with hookers, drug dealers, and other nighttime activity going on. I found cockroaches and bed bugs in my room. You’d be better off sleeping in your car than here.

Everything was bad. There was hair dye smeared all over the door, and stuff on the sink and in the shower. The room was dirty all around and smelled like weed. This is not a place for a family. We know we left some belongings there, but when we called, they kept denying it.
