The front desk guy was kind, and the place looked fairly clean when we arrived for a weekend soccer tournament. The next morning, my son had little red bumps all over. We thought it might be poison ivy from the sheets, so we had housekeeping replace them. The rash got worse and didn’t look like poison ivy anymore. Urgent care treated him with steroid and antihistamine pills for bedbug bites. The front desk employee was empathetic and moved us to another room for our second night. When we checked out, we were told one night would be taken off the bill. After several calls and complaints to corporate, the manager, who was extremely rude, had the room inspected by some exterminator. They said they found no bedbugs, and she refused to refund anything. The other staff were kind, but the manager is the problem. Good luck if you stay. Check under the beds and in the pull-out couch cracks. Enjoy the medical bills.
The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the pillows soft. Breakfast stayed well stocked, thanks to the young woman tending the area. I didn’t get her name, but she did a great job. I’d recommend this hotel if you’re in the area and need a room. BRITTANI at the front desk was amazing. She helped resolve my situation even though it wasn’t her fault or the hotel’s. I spoke with her several times during my stay, and she greeted me with a smile and a good conversation every time. She has a wonderful personality and smile. Kudos to her for her work.
We stayed two nights for my niece’s graduation. The location was great, with lots of stores and restaurants nearby. I’d have liked an EV charger at the hotel, but there’s one across the street, and that hotel lets non-guests charge for a fee. I requested a top-floor room, but didn’t get one. Since I booked the same day, there may not have been one available, and I didn’t ask again when we arrived. Breakfast included bacon Tuesday morning, which I hadn’t seen in years, but there was none on Wednesday. They also had a pancake machine, milk and chocolate milk, yogurt, bagels, raisin toast, muffins, cheese omelet, biscuits and gravy, cold cereal, oatmeal, fruit, juice with orange, cranberry, and apple, a coffee machine with different creamers, tea, and hot cocoa. The indoor pool water was cold.
The pool was closed for two days, and when I asked about it, the woman kept dodging my questions. She only said it was closed, didn’t know for how long, and replied that it was just closed right now when I asked what time it would open. I felt like I was playing 20 questions. I asked for the manager, and she said she was the manager. I told her I’d picked the hotel specifically for the pool. She said she’d had 96 people check in that day and didn’t care, and that I could go stay somewhere else. I walked away before I got trespassed. It was late, and with my family along, I couldn’t just sleep in my car. I come to the area every year, but I’ll never stay here again. The manager was rude and didn’t care about my concern, and this was an awful experience. I recommend everyone stay away. Maybe the hotel has a different idea of hospitality. There was also an issue at check-in. The woman wouldn’t let me check in because I’d put my girlfriend’s name as the person checking in, even though my name was on the account and everything else, and I had paid. The so-called manager was awful and rude, and seemed to care more about the 96 people who checked in that day. Now they’re using an easy excuse to avoid accountability. I made the reservation, and I’m not confusing it with another location. Don’t trust this place. They lie and trick you.
It’s been nearly three months, and the points still haven’t shown up. I contacted IHG corporate, they reached out to the hotel, and nothing came of it. Just a frustrating mess. I stayed over the 2025 holidays and was offered a little gift box from a basket or bowl, with the number of bonus points printed on it. Mine said 2500, and I remember clearly because the clerk was so rude. I was struggling with depth perception after spending five hours in the ER for an emergency with my right eye. Even though I was visibly distressed, she joked about my eyesight and read the amount on the box to me like a comedian. I should have complained to her supervisor right then, but I was tapped out.
