We had a clean, spacious king suite with a very comfortable bed, and breakfast was wonderful. Pinchers is right across the street, which made the location ideal. Still, I can only give three stars: the spare blanket in the closet was stained, and the shower water never got hot. I called the front desk and was told someone would follow up, but nobody did. Lukewarm, almost cold showers aren't acceptable when you're paying that much.

All the staff we met were friendly and welcoming, and breakfast was pretty good. We spent two nights in a suite, which we really liked, especially the fridge and freezer and the bar seating area. Having a sink in the bathroom plus another one with a bigger counter and mirror outside was handy. The hotel is updated and very clean, with comfortable beds and a lobby that feels welcoming.

The nearby Pinchers was a favorite, and the hotel itself is modern with friendly staff and easy access to Venice. Just be aware that the road loops in a quirky way. To go south toward Venice, the safest route is to head north at the divided four-lane highway, then take the first U-turn. A traffic light there would help.

Clean, quiet, and felt safe. The hot breakfast was good, and the staff were cheerful. It's a very nice Hampton Inn, with Pinchers and Dockside Waterfront both nearby for seafood.

Karen made breakfast a highlight of our stay. She was a delight, paid amazing attention to the area, and everything was spotless. The coffee was hot and the food tasted great. We had a wonderful time.
