Inn at the Beach

Breakfast had excellent coffee, and Dee did a great job keeping the buffet stocked. The first morning, all those sweet, gooey pastries and donuts were exciting, but by day three we were tired of the sugar and carbs. There weren't many savory or healthy options. Boiled eggs and deli meat might have made it feel more like a continental breakfast. At least there were apples, oranges, and bananas. The apartment was super clean and well appointed, and the staff were kind and accommodating. The “Ocean View” took some imagination, as did the “lush, tropical landscaping” around the pool and hot tub beside the parking lot. If you like beach time, the location is great, much better than Naples. It was a pleasant, clean ten-minute walk along the path in the middle of the boulevard to the small but thriving town center, where people were generally very friendly. I'd definitely recommend it.

We were surprised by how close the beach was, literally just steps away, and the location was perfect. Free parking is included, and they even lend out sand sifters so you don't have to buy one. The rooms were nice and clean, and the service was amazing. We swam comfortably every night in the nicely heated pool and hot tub, even in the rain. My family and I had a great stay, and we'd come back here if we return.

They were able to add an extra day at the last minute and moved our bags to a first-floor room facing the ocean. I wish we'd had that room the whole time. It was awesome, with a kitchen, fridge, microwave, stove, and more. The room before it was also very nice and clean, and I liked its layout. This is an “old Florida” hotel by the beach, across from Centennial Park. Staff were friendly and helpful, and they put out homemade pastries during the day and evening. Coffee, pastries, and fruit are always available in the lobby. Outstanding visit. We'll be back next year, and this will be our go-to place. If you like “old Florida,” this is the spot.

We came for a two-night getaway and it was perfect. A lovely change from the big-box Marriotts and Hyatts we usually stay at. The rooms are updated, very clean, and nicely equipped with mini fridges, microwaves, and AC units. There's pleasant garden space by the pool with nice outdoor furniture. The hotel is right across from Venice Beach and about three minutes from Downtown Venice shops and restaurants. What a gem!
