Kon Tiki Inn

We avoid chain places, and this homey, authentic spot was exactly our kind of place. The owners were friendly and helpful, and the retro mid-century decor and bright colors gave the whole place a fun vibe. Our room was great, with a little kitchen we would have used more if we'd stayed longer. There's a nice pool and deck for lounging, and a cute restaurant right next door serving tasty casual food. It's a little off the beaten path if you're trying to get around without a car. They rent e-bikes for a reasonable fee, which would make getting around easier. We ran out of time to try one, but still enjoyed the decent walk to the beach. I chatted with some people grilling who seemed to have booked an extended stay with friends. You could definitely do that here, and it would be fun. We had a great stay and only wish it had lasted longer.

The beach walking path was perfect for a morning stroll, and the walk to Sharky's worked nicely in the afternoon. Sean and Debbie were amazing, and the rooms and grounds were immaculate with everything we needed. We loved our stay at Kon Tiki. We also enjoyed live music, dinner, and drinks at The old salty dog. Thanks for a great stay, we'll be back!

We only had a weekend at Kon Tiki Inn, but we're already making plans to come back for at least a week. Debbie and Sean were so friendly and helpful. Since we had a late check-in, they left the key in our room and the lights on for us. The room was beautiful, well kept, and very clean. The pool was clean and sparkling, and the deck felt welcoming. There was also a grill we could use, which made my husband very happy.

The only thing I missed was more electrical outlets. With a family of four and all our electronics, charging everything was tricky without an extension cord. Still, don't let that stop you from checking the place out. This was our second stay at Kon Tiki Inn, and we'll be back. The location is a big reason we like it. It's down the road from the busy shopping centers but close enough to reach everything in minutes. The outdoor decor gives it a tropical vacation feel, and the rooms are fairly spacious, nicely decorated, and each has its own theme. It's a perfect spot for a quick weekend of shark tooth hunting.
