I'm on the road four or five days a week and usually choose budget-friendly hotels, but this Prairie Inn really impressed me. The room was spotless and comfortable, and the whole place smelled wonderful when I walked in. Check-in went smoothly, and the host was amazing. I can't believe the parking lot wasn't full.

Being close to the USD campus is a big plus, and the staff were friendly, though I had to call because nobody was at the desk when I arrived. Breakfast had very little to choose from. My room smelled funky, and the beds were so soft that sitting down too quickly made me feel the box spring. The bathroom needs serious attention: the door frame and towel rack are rusty, the rack is coming off the wall, the towels are thin, and there's water damage on the wall. The furniture needs cleaning, and the TV stand was dusty while the nightstand wasn't clean. I think three stars is generous.

I spent four great days here. The hotel was clean, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and easy to get along with.

Prairie Inn was less expensive than the other hotels in town, and the room was clean and quiet. That's all a person needs. Thank you!
