Charred Oaks Inn

Pamela and Richard made my husband’s birthday stay feel special, with cupcakes, drinks stocked to our liking, an afternoon picnic basket, and thoughtful emails about restaurants and things to do. They also shared interesting stories and clearly know the area well. We loved room #3, the house, and being able to walk into the adorable town of Versailles. Breakfast was the best, and we only wish we’d had more time there.

We were in town for the 150th Kentucky Derby, and Pamela and Richard took such good care of us. They answered our questions, offered great advice, and made us feel special. The afternoon picnic baskets were a treat, and breakfast was delicious every day. Get the grits if they’re offered. Charred Oaks is a beautiful, warm historic home, kept in great shape, with spotless rooms. We’re definitely coming back.

Pam and Richard welcomed us so warmly and had plenty of good suggestions for places to eat and visit. The house, dining room, and our room were all beautiful. We had a lovely stay at Charred Oaks Inn and will be back. Thank you both!

We felt right at home in the heart of Kentucky, thanks to Richard and Pamela’s hospitality. Roses and champagne were waiting for us, and after enjoying events around the area, we came back to a tasty dessert and made good use of the complimentary wet bar. Breakfast the next morning was outstanding, especially the baked berry oatmeal, which was the best I’ve ever had. The house and grounds are beautiful, and the hosts made this a stay we’ll remember warmly.
