Baer House Inn

LaTonya was amazing. We arrived after normal hours, and she made sure we were looked after, then shared wonderful stories about the neighborhood and knew the details of every artifact in the house. The beds and showers were more comfortable and modern than I expected in a historic place, and breakfast was wonderful. The chef was gracious, and LaTonya's son was so sweet and helpful. I was glad we booked Baer House Inn for our overnight in Vicksburg. We had little time in the city, but being close to the restaurants, breweries, and beautiful riverfront architecture made our stay feel special. This ended up being one of the highlights of our trip.

The Baer House Inn has a warm, peaceful, welcoming feel from the moment you step inside. It's a real hidden gem. The manager, Tanya, and staff like Leila are top tier, kind, respectful, and attentive to making you feel safe and comfortable. Meeting Jaylin was another highlight; even a quick chat with him is sure to make you laugh. The house mixes history with a calm city-meets-country feel. You can browse books from the 1800s or just soak in the atmosphere. I celebrated my daughter's 13th birthday here, and both my teen and preteen were genuinely excited and loved every minute. As of April 2026, that five-star rating is well deserved. The comfort is unmatched, right down to the high-quality linens, and there are a few lovely surprises I'll keep to myself. It's an amazing experience at a reasonable price. You have to see it for yourself.

We were sent to this bed-and-breakfast by a wonderful staff member at Walnut Hills restaurant, which has the best food in Vicksburg. Baer House Inn B&B left us overwhelmed as soon as we arrived: the mansion is gorgeous and impeccably clean, and Latonyia was the most thoughtful host we could imagine. After a long day, the wine on a silver tray was a much-appreciated touch. Our room was beautifully appointed, with very comfortable beds, top-of-the-line bedding, and luxurious towels and toiletries. Breakfast in the formal dining room was home-cooked and incredible. The staff were so accommodating, and the place would suit a couples retreat, girls weekend, or even a family stay. It won't disappoint.

We were a little unsure at first, but that changed as soon as we arrived. The host greeted us in the parking lot and immediately put us at ease. She's incredibly warm and welcoming, everything you'd hope for in a host. The property is stunning and impeccably clean, and the fresh flowers in the room were a lovely touch. We were there for a nearby wedding and only wish we'd had more time to enjoy the place. We'll absolutely be back!
