The breakfast was delicious and our host was delightful, but the property was in rough shape. Trash and debris were scattered everywhere, the grass needed cutting, and winter leaves still covered the pretty water feature. Pots, soil, and wheelbarrows were left about, while the brick wall was crumbling and the building had obvious rotting, unpainted wood. We stayed in the building beside the mansion. The room was clean, but the remote and refrigerator didn't work, and the four-poster bed was missing its finials. There was no shower in the bathroom, just an attachment on the faucet that sprayed water across the floor. The tub drained poorly, and having the coffee station in the bathroom seemed like a sanitation concern. It felt sad to see the place like this. I can only guess whether the owners have lost interest, are dealing with health problems, or can't afford the extensive repairs it needs. We booked online because of the ratings. With a lot of work, this place could be beautiful again.

The stairs to the rooms may be tough if you have mobility issues, so don't bring an overly heavy bag. Once you're settled, the house is a delight, full of antiques, and the hostess gives a tour of the home and her artifacts. Her maps and newspaper remnants are fascinating. We loved meeting the other guests over a wonderful breakfast in the dining room. The hosts clearly love both history and their guests, and we highly recommend staying here in Vicksburg.

We travel between Texas and Florida a lot and like finding unusual places to stay in the South. The Corners was one we really enjoyed. Macy was warm, helpful, and accommodating. Since we had to leave early, she got up to put out cinnamon rolls and fruit for breakfast. The guest house was comfortable and clean, and we'd be happy to stay again.

The house has lovely period furnishings and a great view of the Mississippi River. Macy, the owner, was gracious and knew a lot about Vicksburg's history. We had a great breakfast during our anniversary stay at the Corners Bed and Breakfast. We also celebrated our 10th anniversary there, and plan to return again.

This was our first B&B, and it's set the bar high. The historic home is stunning, with so much atmosphere, and the breakfasts were delicious. Our hostess was gracious and easy to talk to, with plenty of fun stories to share.
