The quiet back courtyard was a nice spot, and the front desk man was friendly and helpful. There’s also a bar area with a workstation. For a quick overnight stop off the freeway when you’re watching the cost, it does the job, but I wouldn’t stay longer. Our room smelled musty, the walls and ceiling are thin, and you hear doors slamming, people walking the hall, and kids yelling and running. The ice machine was out of order, and the water had to be shut off for construction. Lots of hotels are nearby.

Ashley really looked after me when I was worn out from traveling. They’re renovating the hotel, but I never heard any of the work. The rooms are nice, the location is central, and there’s a full selection of internet channels too. Great hotel and service.

The lobby looked nice and the new patio was good to see. Gabby, Rodney, and the bistro gal were all professional and courteous, and the service was top notch. My room had new carpet, paint, lamps, and wall art, possibly a new desk too. Renovation work ran promptly from 7am-7pm. The bed was still the same old bad bed, with junk pillows and that same old smell. The fridge was bizarre, I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a 2 hour fridge.

The staff are friendly and courteous, and the rooms are dated but clean. I’ve stayed here several times a year, and CNN never works on the TV even though all the other stations do. When I ask the front desk about it, I get a smirk and no real answer. My next visit to Vicksburg may be my last stay here.

The room was clean, though the bathroom floor was a little dirty. This is an older property, and it was being renovated as of Mar 3 2026. The location is convenient if you need to be near Corp of Engineers, and downtown is about 7 min away. I’ll stay again. The Uber and Lyft vehicles I encountered were atrocious, so I highly recommend GoFer Girls transportation services. They were cheaper than rides hare, veteran owned, and provided extremely great service, especially if you need to get to Jackson MS airport.
