Motel 6 Vicksburg, MS

I stayed about an hour before leaving because I didn't feel safe, and the hotel didn't seem to take the situation seriously. Shortly after check-in, someone called the room asking how many people were there and whether I was alone, claiming to be from the front desk. I hung up and called the desk; they said nobody had called. Thirty minutes later someone tried to enter my room. Staff brushed it off, saying they'd watch out for people. I called the police and packed while an officer came. Downstairs, police were checking several vehicles with people inside and pulled one person out to run their information. I asked for a refund and was told to call the manager in the morning. When I did, the manager acted like he didn't know what I meant, then hung up as I tried to explain. After staff stopped talking to me, I contacted Expedia. The agent couldn't reach anyone at the hotel for 40 minutes, and another number they tried didn't work. The staff seemed unprofessional and unconcerned about a guest's safety. This whole place seems like a scam and has major safety issues. I would NOT stay here if safety matters to you.

The staff were kind and friendly, and the price was great. The location is prime for getting to the main highways and shopping. Rooms were cozy and comfortable, though the bed could've used more pillows. I'd recommend it for the price, location, cleanliness, and care from the staff.

The rooms were clean, the microwave and refrigerator worked, and the extra door lock helped me feel secure. The motel is in a wonderful location, the people were wonderful, and it's pet-friendly. I'm disabled, though, and there wasn't a practical place for my dog to go potty. Some people used the large ditch out front, but I couldn't manage that and had to find another spot. I would stay here again.

The room was clean, the area was great and quiet, and the shower pressure was some of the best I've had at a hotel in Vicksburg. I was impressed until bedtime. The bed felt like a brick with no give, and we woke up in a lot of pain. We had to buy a memory foam topper at walmart just to sleep. I wanted to give a really good review, but the bed ruined it. It's kind of the most important part.
