The staff were pleasant, but there was only a skeleton crew, and service was poor. I got used to waiting a long time for food, drinks, and snacks. The rooms are pretty good, and if you’re just there to gamble and sleep, it should do. Beyond that, it’s hard to say. It’s not what I’d expect from a company like Churchill Downs.

I’ve loved playing this machine for years, and I make a point of trying it whenever I visit the Riverwalk Casino. This time I was down to my last $3 and wasn’t sure what to do. I put in my final $2 and, to my shock, hit a jackpot! So much fun.

The casino gives just 0.01 for every 5.00 wagered on slots, and comps for food or drinks are only 10% of that day’s losses. If you win, the host gives you nothing. Why play here if they don’t recognize action on the tables or slots? It’s sad for a casino to operate this way. They shouldn’t care whether you win or lose, as long as you keep playing.

The staff were super friendly. I had a riverside room, but there were so many dead bugs that it was hard to enjoy the view. The room felt a bit dated, and the mattress was smaller than the frame. It blended into the carpet, so I kept tripping over it.
