Relax Inn

We ended up staying in vinita and making a go of it because of the owner. I'm glad to say we're doing okay now, with good jobs and a nice rental home. Eight years ago, our car broke down on I-44 while we were trying to reach Lawton, and we spent a week here. The owner was kind. One evening it was so hot we didn't sit outside, and he came to check on us. He also drove us to the car on the turnpike so we could get clothes and personal things, then took the long way around through Afton without even charging us for gas. The room was dated and small, but comfortable.

The nightstand drawer had a lot of live roaches in it. That's my main complaint, and they weren't bedbugs.

We had two rooms, and neither one smelled like a non-smoking room. The lock on one door didn't work, so we put a chair against each door at night. The road and nearby trains were very noisy.

It was near my job, which was the only good thing about the place. The woman at the front desk was rude, judgmental and unprofessional. She looked at my friend and me and assumed we'd make a mess. She demanded all our information, including who we lived with and everyone in the house, and warned us not to steal because they would know. On checkout day I asked about something I'd left in the room, and she blew up, calling me dumb and stupid. I'll never come back. The service was horrible.
