Blue Coral Motel

The bed was alright and the fridge worked, though it had no freezer. The TV was out, the bathroom didn’t look cleaned between guests, and someone had patched the stove with aluminum foil. Worst of all, the room reeked of tobacco. If that smell were gone, it might pass for a two-star hotel, but having no separation between smoking and nonsmoking rooms is a terrible practice.

The parking lot was empty when I arrived, and I knew this was going to be a bad experience. Before I even checked in, I asked for my money back and the owner refused. The owners live upstairs, and there were roaches and mold everywhere. The showers and kitchen were unbelievably nasty. It felt like a scene from a movie set in a rough neighborhood. I’ll never stay here again. This place is disgusting and a waste of money, and the owner refuses to refund it. Stay away.

The bed felt like I was sleeping on springs, so I didn’t get a good night’s sleep. The room itself was okay, but for $92 I expected at least some shampoo or similar supplies. I booked online, couldn’t check in until 2 pm, and the rate had gone up by the time I did. I’d only stay again if there were no other options, and not at that price.

The rooms smelled so good, and the parking was the best I’ve ever seen. I had a great time here and think they should build more places like this. There’s a great breakfast spot down the street. Honestly, I can barely think of a complaint.
