The staff at The Alamar were professional, and the place was clean and well maintained for a beach hotel. It's an economical option, with the beach just a quick two-block walk away. I booked a different place online that turned out to be a nightmare, and my family wasn't going to stay there. I found The Alamar online and decided to check it out before booking. That was the right call. I'd go there first if taking a spontaneous trip, and I'd call directly to save time. I plan to recommend it to everyone and stay longer next time. Thanks for saving our family trip.

The room was clean and the AC worked really well. It's comfortable, and the owner is very friendly, though you can tell from the price that this isn't a luxury hotel. My kids especially loved being able to use the pool whenever they wanted, even at night. There was no shampoo or conditioner, which is why I gave it four stars. If you're looking for a nice place close to the beach, I'd recommend it.

The owners were nice and accommodating, and it was quiet during our five-night stay last week. Our kids could swim whenever they wanted while we watched from the room, since every room looks out over the pool. The hotel is two blocks from the ocean, which made things really convenient. The price was good for the location, though you get what you pay for and a couple of things could be improved. Still, my family enjoyed our stay and we'd come back on our next visit to VA beach.

Everything was within walking distance from this central location, just a block off the beach, and there was plenty of parking. My room was spacious, clean, quiet, and comfortable, with everything you'd have at home. The owner did all he could to make my stay better, and everyone was friendly. I highly recommend it. Wish I could've stayed longer, and I'll be back.

The kids had a good time with the pool, internet, TV, and mini fridge/freezer. We got a good price and were able to walk in at the last minute. The shower sprayed all over, the toilet flushed slowly but still worked, and the bathroom door wouldn't close. It was good enough for our stay, and I'd book again.
