I was here for work and had a great experience. The breakfast area was really nice, and my room was decent with a large TV, though the mattress looked worn out and needs replacing. Everyone at the front desk was friendly, especially Felicia, who was a delight to talk with.

Mrs. Sierra at the front desk pointed me toward the hotel restaurant when I was about to go elsewhere for food. She was right to recommend it, I really enjoyed it. She also made me feel at ease straight away, like we'd known each other for years. Mrs. Ava handled our breakfast order with so much warmth and grace. She was polite and humble, and her energy was infectious. The staff made the stay memorable, and that kind of customer service would bring me back without hesitation. They really make guests feel welcome and valued, like family.

The rooms were very nice, and everything about the stay was easy. The folks at the Crowne on Bonney road in Virginia Beach were accommodating and feel like my people. Miss Lisa was quick with the service, and Mr.Nick and Ms Deena at the front desk were awesome too. I enjoy staying at the Crowne and recommend it whenever I'm in Virginia Beach. 💪🏾💯🖖🏾

Room 801 had a nice high-floor spot, and I’ll stay again for the location, convenience, and extremely friendly staff. The room was okay, with a few things that bothered me: the elevator squeaked, the shower door had no handle, and the magnifying mirror didn’t work. It also needed some paint touch-ups. There was no suitcase rack, which I really needed, and the bathroom door wasn’t installed or working properly.

Hi, I’m the new owner of the Cutty Sark, taking over from my grandparents, who owned and ran the property since the 1970s. We’re in the middle of a full motel renovation, including restoring the original terrazzo floors, fresh paint, and all new furniture. We’ve read the past reviews and are working to keep what makes this place special while taking care of the concerns people raised. We hope you’ll consider staying with us again when we reopen this spring.
