Comfort Inn & Suites Virginia Beach - Norfolk Airport

The breakfast spread was fantastic, and the staff at check-in made us feel welcome. The hotel is conveniently located near the airport, restaurants, and the highway. There was a strong weed smell throughout the elevator, coming from under my neighbor's door across the hall. Apart from that, I found the hotel quite comfortable. It's not the best place I've stayed, but definitely not the worst, and I'd consider coming back.

Our room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable sectional sofa that was great to unwind on after a day of work. The breakfast was good, with a few hot choices and plenty of food. The pool looked clean and well cared for, though we didn't use it, so I can't say from experience. Every employee we met was extremely friendly and helpful, always smiling. The staff did a great job. This was good value, especially compared with other Choice hotels we've stayed in that were below par. I'm writing this so I remember where to stay next time we're back for work.

I've rarely been treated so rudely by someone in customer service. I called for an airport shuttle, and the front desk worker, Briana, was hostile and hung up on me twice. I waited around for 40 minutes, never got a shuttle, and ended up paying for an Uber. At the hotel she wouldn't look me in the eye or welcome me. When I asked what I'd done to offend her, she was curt and rude, though I was honestly trying to understand why she was treating me that way. She didn't apologize for the hassle or for hanging up twice. If you want a miserable stay and terrible customer service, I'd recommend the comfort Inn and suites Virginia Beach.

Marcus was warm and helpful, and everyone else on staff made the stay a good one too. I’m glad I found this place. The rooms have plenty of space and the sheets are really comfortable. Breakfast is as good as what I’ve had at pricier hotels, and for the price, the hotel is remarkably clean and nice. It’s my go-to when I need a night near the airport.
