Days Inn by Wyndham Virginia Beach Town Center

I spent several weeks here and my room was never serviced. The place has no breakfast, and when I asked for toilet paper, the answer was “No.” The front desk staff were awful and unwilling to help. They even locked the desk and slept on the couch. Management said they knew about the problems but wouldn't do anything. People staying there were selling drugs and yelling all night, so it isn't suitable for families with children. The room was very dirty, too. I know the price is low, but taking advantage of that is terrible. The owners should care about hiring someone who can provide decent customer service, instead of just a warm body. Hospitality is hard work, but that doesn't excuse treating paying guests badly. Days in make Wyndham is representing Wyndham shamefully. If you can, I'd choose Pacific in VA Beach or in Norfolk, where the service is much better.

Staff were nice, and I mainly needed somewhere to sleep while visiting family. The place was nothing special. I booked a non-smoking room, but as soon as I walked in, it smelled like cigarettes. The bathroom toilet seat was dirty, and the shower curtain rod was coming off the wall. I wanted to make tea with the kurig, but it was filthy. Both beds had burn holes in the sheets and blankets. This place is for when you've got no other options.

At least I didn't find any bugs. The parking lot has huge potholes, though if you go slowly you won't scrape the car. Otherwise, it was a bad stay: the floors were uneven and hadn't been vacuumed, non-smoking rooms smelled of cigarettes, the blankets had holes, and they ran out of coffee. I was locked out after breakfast despite having booked several nights. Their website says complimentary baby cribs are available, but that isn't true. The woman saw the mistake and still wouldn't give me a room with two beds so my child could sleep separately.

The place was horrible, and I never leave bad reviews. There were roaches, mold, and thick layers of dirt, dust, and hair in every corner and along the trim. The tub was rusty and had no hot water. They wouldn't move us to another room, only let us use a different room to shower. The carpet was disturbing and clearly hadn't been vacuumed. The hairdryer was caked with dirt and old gel or grease, and the middle blanket on the bed had hard, spilled-looking spots and hadn't been washed. You can read my reviews.
