The location was good, and our third-floor room had a nice view. That was the only positive. The place was very, very dirty. I could put up with the slow elevator and rude staff, but our room was never serviced during our three-night stay. When I asked, I was told they couldn’t send housekeeping because they were working on checkout rooms. I had to call again later to get the extra towels I’d requested. I’m mostly venting because other reviews seem to get generic replies without anything changing. I’ll share photos, even though I never do that. The trip is over and we had a good time at the beach, but I feel I should warn people. They seem not to care about making changes or giving guests even a clean, comfortable stay. My husband has done missionary work in a third-world country, and he says the hotels there treat you better than this place.

Room 203 was clean, nothing was broken, it smelled fine, and there were no bugs. The shower had a nice handheld option and plenty of hot water, and the pillows were firm, which I liked. The pool was clean too. Staff at the desk were brief and direct, but not rude. Parking is across the street, a small hassle. I’d stay again for the ocean view at this price. The bad reviews seem ridiculous to me. I’d never reviewed a hotel before, but after stressing for days over which cheaper place to choose, with the alternatives getting awful reviews unless you spent $375 or more a night, I wanted to share. Scuffed walls and sloppy paint might bother you, and yes, the hallways are dim and dingy, and the elevator is slow. But you don’t sleep in the hallway, and you can take the stairs or be patient. The quick paint jobs around the hotel are mostly a visual issue. Photos attached for proof.

We booked three nights, and housekeeping never came once. When I asked, they said room service had to be requested, so we had to keep going to the front desk for toilet paper and fresh towels. We also asked for extra pillows and were told they don’t provide them. The room and hallways were filthy. The floors were so dirty we couldn’t walk barefoot without our feet turning black, and the hallway carpets looked black from lack of cleaning. On the first morning, someone had dropped French fries and chicken in the elevator. We went to the beach for three hours, and the food was still there when we returned, with flies around it. The one good thing was the location. We arrived Tuesday, and when I went to the bathroom to change into my swimsuit, I tossed it on the towel rack above the toilet. A joint fell out when I picked it up. I expected an affordable, basic place close to the beach for me and my children, nothing fancy. This was on another level. Don’t waste your money. I travel a lot and have never stayed anywhere this dirty.

There were liquid splatters on the walls, the lampshade was badly soiled with something unknown, and the bathroom was mildewy with a really poor paint job. One of our two rooms had cigarette burns in the duvet, and the other didn’t have a duvet at all. One door had tint to block the sun, while the other didn’t, making it hard for the children to sleep after sunrise. The rooms weren’t cleaned and there were no clean linens. The stairwell smelled like urine, the elevator took ages, and poolside trash wasn’t collected during our stay. A non-smoking room smelled of smoke, and the faucet was broken. There was very little parking for disabled guests, and the owner was quick to call a tow truck even though I had a tag. Those are just some of the problems.
