Lamp Liter Inn Visalia, an Ascend Collection Hotel

The grounds were beautiful and well kept, and the location was perfect. Our rooms were really nice too. Jay, the manager, upgraded us to a two-bed room at no extra charge. We were very happy with the stay and will definitely come back.

I walked in to find dirt all over the shower floor. The carpet was so filthy that my feet turned brown after a few minutes, and I couldn’t sit in the only chair because its cushion had unknown stains or residue. The place is outdated, dirty, and noisy, not somewhere I’d recommend for a night’s sleep. I asked for another room after check-in, but staff refused. When I requested a refund so I could find somewhere else, they said the manager wasn’t there to help, so no. I recommend staying elsewhere.

Jay, the District Manager, greeted me with a real smile and a calm welcome. He told me a little about the inn’s restoration and pointed out the lobby’s reclaimed wood beams, which he said once supported a 19th-century mill. The head receptionist, Dennis, was efficient and kind too. When I mentioned a travel-related toothache, he suggested two good dentists across the street that accepted walk-ins. My remodeled room had soft linens, warm lights, a rainfall shower, a plush king bed, and blackout curtains. I liked the local art and eco-friendly toiletries as well. From the moment I pulled into the lot, Lamp Liter Inn felt warm and thoughtfully put together. It’s a recently remodeled boutique hotel tucked in the Visitor District, a quiet place with real character. A lovely stay, and I’ll be back with friends. Timeless!

We stayed over Thanksgiving weekend and had a great time. The rooms were nicely updated, and everything was clean and organized. The staff were friendly, and the location is convenient, close to lots of fast food and other places. I’d definitely recommend checking it out.
