Motel 6-Vista, CA

For what it costs, the room was a very good deal and it was clean. The front desk welcome and service were friendly and excellent. A few things would make the room more comfortable: rugs on the bare fake wood floors, a do not disturb sign for the door, tissues, and shampoo.

The pool was clean, the temperature was just right, and nobody else was there, which suited me perfectly. The room was quiet and clean, with fresh towels and sheets, and a very nice view. The air conditioning worked, thank goodness, and the morning coffee was wonderful. Check-in was quick, and they even gave me an extra half hour to check out. My car was fine, too. The front desk clerk who checked me out was more than wonderful, though I can't remember her name. Thanks again, Motel 6 of Vista, CA! 💜

The walls are thin, so I could easily hear neighbors and people outside. There was also a heavy floral smell, maybe from the cleaning products or laundry soap. Apart from that, this has been the best budget hotel I've found so far in the Oceanside area. The room and bathroom were clean and spacious, and the desk staff were very nice and responsive. It was good value, with a fridge and microwave in the room.

The graveyard shift at the front desk was excellent. He helped me out perfectly, and I really liked his service. As for the room, it was somewhere to lay my head, but the bathroom had hair in a corner and the floors weren't very clean. I was also surprised this was one of the first Motel 6 locations I'd seen without a refrigerator and microwave in every room. As I understood it, none of the rooms had microwaves.
