Studio 6 Waco, TX - Downtown - Baylor

We’re staying here while looking for a house to rent. I haven’t seen any bugs, and it’s a nice hotel. There are two sides, though. The back is noisy, with lots of activity, cars starting, and people dancing around above us. The front side is quieter. I’d suggest it if you need a place to stay while passing through Waco.

The room was depressing and absolutely disgusting. Water from the AC was all over the floor, and there were roaches everywhere. When I booked through the motel 6 app, I entered my two pets and got a price, but after I checked in and mentioned the pets, they charged me $20 per pet. Why sell me the room at one price and then add that? It was only a one-night stay, thankfully. I’d rather sleep in the car and save the $80. Funny enough, my nice stayapt cost only $14 more.

I walked into the room and turned right back around. The front desk lady gave me a full refund for both rooms and was very apologetic and helpful, so I gave service four stars. The rooms themselves were run-down, smoke-stained despite supposedly being nonsmoking, and had cigarette-burned bedding, bugs, and windows with bullet holes. There were sketchy people hanging around in the parking lot, and the online photos definitely aren’t of this location. Given the area and the people outside, the ground outdoors might have been cleaner. See the photos for the details I mentioned.

We went in and walked straight back out. The other comments seem accurate and not exaggerated. It might suit some people, but it was nowhere near what we expected from a place to stay or sleep.
