Motel 6 Greenville, SC

I booked and paid through Booking.com for an accessible room on 05/28/26, but when I arrived, none was available and the reservation was simply canceled. The woman at the front desk was very rude. Since it was late and I was exhausted, I had to pay again for a more expensive room on the third floor. It was advertised as a studio with a full kitchen, but it had a stove and no refrigerator, and nobody had told me ahead of time. The water pressure was extremely poor. The hotel offered no apology, alternative, or compensation, so I had to contact Booking.com support myself to get my money back. I’m extremely disappointed and upset, and I couldn’t get proper rest.

The staff were helpful and nice, and the coffee area was great, though small for the number of people living there long term. My room had no microwave or refrigerator, and the sheets and blanket had to be changed because they were stained. It smelled like marijuana everywhere. I only stayed because it was the only place I could afford then, but now I know to look elsewhere.

It’s peaceful here, with no drama, and the area is great. The staff are awesome. The cops sit and watch for speeders going by, but they don’t mess with you.

Even with the hotel full, I could still find parking without too much trouble. The Saturday price was decent, especially since most other places were sold out. The bed was comfortable, and the room had a mini-fridge with a freezer section and a microwave. Check-in was quick, and the front desk staff were helpful, especially the very sweet brunette with wavy or curly hair. A few things could’ve been better: my non-smoking room smelled like it had been a smoking room, there was no Kleenex or tissue holder so I had to use toilet paper, and there was only one tiny trash can for the whole room.
