The Villas at Fairmont Kea Lani

We loved how relaxing the pools, cabanas, beach, and resort grounds felt, and the sushi was exceptional. Breakfast was a treat too, with friendly omelette chefs making delicious omelettes each morning. Chris at the Pilina Bar was a huge part of why we’ll return: he was kind, funny, knew so much about Maui, and happily came up with new drinks. The lobby made a beautiful first impression, and check-in itself went smoothly, though different staff gave us conflicting information about our stay. One receptionist interaction was disappointing, so we brought it to the general manager team. They took it seriously and responded quickly and professionally with a solution. That was appreciated, and the rest of our visit was unforgettable.

The grounds were beautifully maintained and the facility was clean, with lots of personal amenities in the room. Everyone who helped us, from bell staff and the front desk to concierge, housekeeping, pool staff, and pool wait staff, went well beyond what we expected. We had an AMAZING week at Fairmont and would happily return.

Ashley, who used to serve us at the pool and now works breakfast, remembered us from nearly two years ago. We had a lovely visit, swapped family stories, and she showed us pictures of hers. She really made us feel like family. Ross Ann at Palina was another highlight, remembering us each night, finding us a nice table, and taking such sincere care of us. We love her personality. The rest of the team was just as personable. Richard at valet and Liz at the front desk made us feel special. Trudy even took my water flask away to fill it, which touched me. Ian, the breakfast manager, was attentive and helpful, clearing plates while we chatted. Chris, the bartender at Palina, was nearly perfect, skilled with cocktails and always on top of what was happening at the bar.

The beach was fantastic, with plenty of chairs and no rush to claim one. The grounds, hotel, and service were all spectacular, and the place felt luxurious without making our kids feel out of place. We’d definitely consider Fairmonts for our next trips.
