The shower had mold all over it, which was the worst part for me. The hotel also feels outdated, the pillows are super flat, and parking isn't free. On the plus side, the staff were friendly and the location is good for shopping and entertainment. I wouldn't stay again unless they fix these issues.

Inside, the building really needs cleaning and major updates. We paid $3200 for three rooms, six nights, and eight people, so I expected better. The walls seemed paper thin. A couple of nights, noisy guests several rooms away kept us from sleeping well. Wallpaper seams stood out and were peeling in places. Two bathrooms had black mold, one much worse than the other, and we didn't use that bathroom at all. One room's ceiling had a leak or some other problem: a corner of the textured ceiling had come apart by checkout, though we reported it to the front desk. Fixtures in all the rooms were cracked, scratched, broken, or missing. Two shower towel hangers came out of the walls. One fell as soon as someone gently hung a towel and turned away for a moment. One room door had to be slammed to latch. Outside, the place looked modernized and had plenty of parking for my truck and trailer, but a large area of shattered glass stayed in the lot all week, from Wednesday through Tuesday. I wonder when it was cleaned up and how many flat tires it caused. The location was okay. We were in town in April for Honda Day at the International Raceway, at the start of my travel season.

The check-in and breakfast staff were friendly, but the rest of the hotel needs a full remodel. The rooms are dark, dingy, outdated, and beat up, with small bathrooms, old cracked tile, and pillows that seem like they might date back to when the hotel opened. Parking outside costs $10 a day through an app. I'd avoid it until the renovation happens.

Tamika made me feel understood and valued, and kept the Hilton name in good standing for me. I was panicking because I'd missed the cancellation deadline for a reservation I made months earlier.
