We were very happy with our stay. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The only odd thing to me was having to pay for parking. You might be able to save even more by booking through a third party. Check them out, you won't be disappointed.

The next morning, while we were gathering our things, I found a bug in the bed. I filmed it and looked it up to check, and it was definitely a bed bug. We left and told the front desk attendant, who seemed nonchalant at first. I asked what we should do to clean ourselves and avoid bringing them home. She said it might have happened a few times, though she didn't really know what to tell me. When I pointed out her attitude, she apologized and said she wanted to finish her work because she was leaving in 30 minutes. I had a picture and video, and asked what the protocol was. She told me to email manager Sheree. It was upsetting to think about bed bugs, and I just wanted advice on keeping them from coming home with us. I hope something is done about room cleanliness and the bed bug issue so nobody else has this experience. Guests should be given information on what to do if they encounter bed bugs at the hotel. My Mom and I have stayed at the Residence Inn Waldorf many times over the past 15 years and had always found everyone pleasant. I’m from MD, though I’ve lived in Charlotte NC since 2003. This weekend was different. We drove to MD on Saturday to visit my uncle, who is unwell, and I checked in after we’d spent a few hours at UM Regional. The front desk employee was on what I believe was a personal phone call. He put the caller on hold to check me in, told me where the room was and about breakfast, then went straight back to the call. Room 203 looked and smelled clean when I first checked it, so I left our bags and returned to the hospital. When my Mom and I came back around 7:30pm, I noticed hair on the toilet and in the tub, and the bathroom corners were disgusting. I left a note about it on the table that night.

There were gnats flying around, and parking costs extra. The toilet never flushed, the tub wouldn't drain, and no one came when we called. I also found a speck of someone else's blood, which was crazy. Please do better with the cleaning and customer service.

This ruined Christmas 2025 for my wife and me. We had to find somewhere else at the last minute after the woman who checked us in charged us for three nights and locked up my account. The money still hasn't been refunded, so I had to borrow money while we were away on our Christmas vacation. Her only response was, “I'm sorry,” but that didn't help us. Now I may have to borrow more to drive my mother home to Florida tomorrow, then return here to drop off the rental before going back to Virginia with no money. I don't understand how this mistake could happen or why the refund is taking so long. I'll never stay here again. Please refund me ASAP.
