Carlisle Inn Walnut Creek

The staff were so kind and helpful that they deserve six stars. They answered questions quickly and did what they could to make the stay great. The place was very clean and well kept, and I’d come back, though I’d ask for a room away from the street. Traffic and other guests heading to the local auction woke me around 5 a.m. They weren’t unusually loud, but the floor didn’t block much sound. Breakfast had plenty of choices, though a lot of it seemed processed.

We booked massages in the room, and the women who came were lovely, professional, and really good at what they do. The room itself was spacious, clean, and very nice. Breakfast and the nightly snacks were a hit too. My one small suggestion: some throw pillows would make the couches easier to get comfortable on.

Quiet nights at The Carlisle made for such restful sleep, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The hotel was spotless, and the food is always tempting and appetizing, sometimes enough to make us overeat. The surrounding Amish Country is beautiful, with rolling hills, valleys, and cows and horses grazing. We enjoyed ourselves and plan to book another room this summer.

We were there during a winter storm that dropped five inches overnight, and the hot chocolate made the stay feel especially cozy. Breakfast was delightful, and snack time was a treat. Everyone we met, including the housekeeping staff, was super friendly. The decorations throughout the inn were beautiful, and the location was convenient. It was our first visit, but we loved it and hope to make a birthday tradition of coming back. One of the nicest hotel stays we’ve had.
