My husband and I were staying there when we woke to police asking questions about the guests next door, who had died from an overdose. I don’t recommend it. The hot water took 2-3 minutes to warm up, and gaps around the windows and doors let in an extreme draft. We would have been better off sleeping in the car. It’s definitely a last resort if you just need a quick sleep.

The room was clean, check-in was quick, and the internet was fast. The location was strategic and convenient, and the price was very affordable. I slept well and had a good stay, thank you.

The room prices are good, and being on Route 1 makes this a convenient motel for area businesses and anyone trying to save money. But there are no phones in the rooms, and there didn’t seem to be staff overnight, so if something goes wrong at night, you’re on your own and can’t call the front desk. Bring singles for the soda machine and choose carefully. Some selections don’t dispense what you picked, and it gives no change. I put in a five for water, got orange soda, and lost the rest of the money. It cost $3. Be careful booking online. I saw the weekly rates when I arrived and asked to switch to one, but was told they couldn’t because I’d booked online. I complained to Booking.com, who contacted the motel, and the owner confronted me about it. I wouldn’t stay or recommend this place. I’ve had to ask for far too many things that should normally be provided. Ridiculous.

The room smelled musty and moldy, and there was feces smeared throughout, from the floor and bathroom to the walls. The door wouldn’t lock. Paint was dripped across the floorboards and walls, and the bathroom door was filthy, as if someone had kicked it repeatedly. The bed was disgusting too, though it was the cleanest thing in the room. The pillows were about a centimeter thick. This was the dirtiest place I’ve ever seen or stayed in, and people could genuinely get sick. I have pictures and video, and I’m calling the board of health. My husband and I booked a room to crash after a concert at Gillette, and it was a terrible mistake. Check-in felt sketchy, with staff behind glass like at a gas station. We asked whether the room had been cleaned, and they stared blankly and said yes. When we tried to tell them what we found, they said there was no vacancy. We then told the maid, who walked away. I called the next day to explain and kindly ask the property manager for a refund. I hadn’t even said I’d leave a bad review; I wanted to see if they could handle customer service. The manager hung up on me. We also asked if they allowed dogs and were told no, but we heard and saw dogs staying in rooms, so that was clearly a lie. I’ve stayed in motels and hotels all over and never complained before this place. It was beyond disrespectful and disgusting, and I hope no one else gets fooled into staying here.

The rooms are pretty basic, but they were clean and quiet, and I was left in peace when I needed to rest. The staff were friendly, and the location is excellent for getting to Gillette. Not the place for luxury, but a good value if that’s what you’re after.
