The rooms were roomy and clean, and the animals on the shared deck were lovely to watch. We also had a good time painting pottery at a reasonable price, and the pool and hot tub were nice. The bead activity staff were especially great. Most people we met were friendly, though the person at check-in was an exception. Our stay got off to a rough start. After driving for 20 hours, we arrived at 3:30 AM expecting the early check-in we'd been promised, but we didn't get a room until around 3 PM. We had to sleep awkwardly in the lobby, and the staff member we spoke with just shrugged and said, “oh well.” Our room was directly above construction, so the view and noise weren't what you'd hope for at Animal Kingdom. Waking to construction beeps wasn't on my vacation list, especially at this resort's price. The pool closed right at 10 PM, and we wished it stayed open later, like the pools at Saratoga Springs. Having to pay for or sign into a Disney+ account to watch Disney shows and movies also seemed crazy. We enjoyed the hotel overall, but the first day left a bad taste. If they hadn't promised early check-in over the phone, we would have booked a separate hotel for that night.

A chef at Jiko went out of his way to help us when we were lost, personally showing us where to go. I wish I'd caught his name. That kindness really stuck with me. My daughter was celebrating her birthday, and so many Cast Members took a moment to wish her a happy birthday. She was glowing. From the time we arrived, several Cast Members made us feel special, and everyone we met was welcoming, polite, and helpful. Kidani Village is beautiful, and its team made the visit unforgettable. We can't wait to return.

I love having a savanna view here. Sitting out on the balcony and seeing the animals is so cool. The only downside is getting a room far from an elevator, which can mean a long walk if you have trouble getting around.

The rooms were comfortable, though they're starting to show their age. I think I heard that refurbishment is planned for next year, and it seems needed if the resort wants to be considered deluxe. The staff across the front desk, housekeeping, bell service, and restaurants were all great. It's a great place for families, especially kids who'd enjoy seeing the animals roaming around the resort.

We saw plenty of animals during our stay and got some great photos. The newly renovated room was lovely, and we had fun at the pool and on the waterslide.
