Pine Mountain Club Chalets Resort

For our first stay in Pine Mountain, it was easy to find and check-in was friendly. The quiet little village was peaceful day and night, and the price was very reasonable. We celebrated Christmas and went to see the lights at Callaway. There are golf, boats, fishing, a playground, and basketball, and you can check out supplies for all the activities. Our unit had a screened porch and a huge front porch, and there were grills too. The kids had room to run and play. I'll rent this unit again soon.

There were a few bumps during the day, but Jessica handled them beautifully. We were really pleased with how everything turned out and will definitely come back for another event.

The owner and staff were friendly, but the chalet itself was a huge disappointment. In Chalet #66, a strong urine smell lingered in the bathroom, cockroaches were in the upstairs bedroom, and the whole home, furniture included, smelled moldy. It was also short on basic supplies. For our family of seven, there was only one roll of toilet paper per bathroom. There was no dish soap or spices, and the utensils weren't a decent set. Other Airbnbs we've stayed in have had enough supplies for a full week. We were very disappointed and won't return.

My family and I usually love this place, but this was a very bad stay. We had reserved one Chalet online and were switched to #20. At first it didn't seem like a big deal because we enjoy coming here, but the new chalet had not been cleaned properly. The front carpet was filthy, there was old food inside the pull-out chair, and the dishes had something on the glasses that I had to scrub off before using. There were spider webs hanging from the bathroom ceilings. When I raised the problems the next day, I was told someone had stayed there two days before us. The stove and microwave were dirty too, along with many other areas. I have photos but won't post them. I wanted to leave and go back to Atlanta, but Mom wanted to stay for her birthday. I wasn't expecting perfection, but the place should have been clean. Jennifer had great energy from a customer service standpoint, but the response did not satisfy me. I'd even gathered details to arrange an annual meeting for 75 to 80 attendees at this location. After we met and I shared what happened, the group said, “absolutely not!” and encouraged me to leave this review. I don't know if anything has changed since, but the lack of cleanliness made this a terrible stay.
