Capri Village

The only real hassle was the old ice machine, which broke on me twice. Otherwise, the place was clean and well cared for, and the husband and wife who own it were really nice and helpful. Our week included free kayaking and a sandy beach on Lake George that was cleaned and groomed daily. There was also an outdoor heated pool, table tennis, shuffleboard, volleyball, horseshoes, and free coffee from 8-10am. I’d put it at 3.75 stars, but the ice machine wasn’t enough to take away my five-star rating.

We were so impressed that we're planning to return in September with the kids. My wife and I booked at the last minute after researching other motels along Lake George, and I was skeptical at first. The friendly staff, spotless room, lovely landscaping, and well-kept, freshly painted buildings quickly put me at ease. The room was awesome, and the new boat docks looked great. The owners even took time to talk with us at checkout. For a couple, I'd suggest a motel room or cabin if you'd like more privacy. We highly recommend giving Capri a try.

The room was modest but comfortable, with a smart layout, and the outdoor spaces were what made the stay worthwhile. There’s lots of open grassy space by the water, with spots to sit, barbecue, and relax, plus a ping-pong table and volleyball court. It’s close to plenty of tourist spots, too. A great place to stay, though the WiFi could be better. Four and a half stars.

We've stayed here for years with friends and family, and every visit has been a great one. There are rooms with kitchens, a playground for the kids, and a fantastic view of the lake. Lake George Village and Bolton Landing are both just a short drive away. This resort has a lot to offer.
