Snow White Motel

We booked four rooms for a week-long work stay, and every room had a problem from day one. One toilet had poop on it, another wouldn’t flush, a third had stained sheets, and the fourth had poop on the bathroom wall and toothpaste in the dirty sink. We called to report it and were brushed off. During the week, they didn’t touch the bathroom at all, only made the bed. The cleaning problems made me angry, but being ignored and seeing no effort to fix anything upset me even more. It was a horrible experience.

The internet didn’t work, half the room had no lights, the bathroom was filthy, and there were giant roaches. The room was outdated, too. At first the staff were nice, but when I found dead worms, they offered to “sweep” them up. I had my toddler with me and was due to have a baby any day. Then, when we went to bed, there was a CRACK pipe in the bed. Management said I must have put it there, which made me livid. My kid could have found it. They didn’t apologize or offer anything.

The newer rooms are nice. It’s cheaper than most motels around here, so it can work if you’re on a budget or have no other choice. There are a lot of addicts staying there, but they tend to keep to themselves and usually aren’t out in the open or a danger.

For the price, it gave me a place to sleep, and I didn’t see any bugs, which was a big plus. I didn’t see the people hanging around outside that others mention, either. It’s a motel, and it isn’t very updated, though they seem to be trying. My room looked like work was still going on: the sink had been updated and one light replaced, but it needs fresh paint and flooring. The door is filthy and needs replacing, the lock doesn’t work, and the handle is coming off. The beds need new linens, and the blankets and comforters were bad, so bring your own. New bedding, lights, flooring, and paint would make a big difference. I’d stay again, and I hope they keep fixing the place.
