Sonesta ES Suites Providence - Airport

The room was dated but clean and wonderfully quiet. Still, I spent the night freezing because there was no heat, and I couldn't shower before my meeting because there was no hot water. I let the water run for five minutes; it warmed slowly but never got past lukewarm. I called the desk, but it was too late to get anyone to fix it, and they didn't offer another room or a refund. They offered extra blankets, but I didn't feel safe going outside close to midnight to get them. There was only one person working the desk overnight, so she couldn't bring them to me. I slept badly.

The breakfast spread was good, and the pool and breakfast-lobby area were both spacious. Maria worked hard and brought a great spirit to breakfast, which we always enjoyed. Our suite had plenty of room for our family of six. The room itself needs some work: the TV didn't work and some outlets were broken, the usual motel stuff. For the price, free decent breakfast, and nice pool, I'd recommend it. Nice motel.

The location is perfect for us, but the place has fallen a long way since it was a nice Residence Inn. Outside, things are broken, rusty, or rotting wherever you look, and the old lawns are now weeds and dirt. Inside, the quality is all over the place. There are nice kitchen appliances, plates, and glassware, but the cabinets are so sticky you don't want to touch them. The furniture isn't comfortable, and some pieces seem to be missing. The tub surround is nice, but the bathroom floor tiles are cracked. Some doors are broken or don't open and close right. The pool area is attractive, but there were no towels and the deck was too filthy to walk on. The exercise equipment is nice, though the room is so dark and dilapidated it feels scary to enter. I feel for the employees, who are probably doing their best with little or no support. Breakfast was adequate, but we've had better elsewhere. The hotel would need a major renewal before we'd consider staying again.

The room had plenty of space, though it wasn't very clean. The bathroom and its fixtures look dated. Breakfast was good.
