The Loom Hotel Tapestry Collection by Hilton

Being close to a mall and several shops made getting around easy. I also had a very good meal at the restaurant, and the service throughout the hotel was great. The Loom Hotel was quiet, roomy, and beautifully decorated. My only small gripe was that the room could’ve been cleaner, but I still had a wonderful stay.

I booked The Loom Hotel for one night hoping for a quiet, comfortable stay, and it was unacceptable. The TV showed a distorted blue screen, and the first room had no privacy shade, so I had to move. In the second room, the concrete ceiling had dark stains, and there was active condensation leaving the brick and window frame damp. They told me it was normal wear for concrete, but that explanation doesn’t fit when the inside surfaces are wet. After that one night, I woke with severe sinus congestion and a significant flare of my chronic illness. I can’t say for certain what caused it, but I didn’t get the quality, comfort, or basic habitability I expected. I wouldn’t recommend this property, especially to anyone sensitive to moisture or air quality. Management never contacted me. I stayed here back when it was the nylo hotel, when it was new. The loft feel was wonderful then. It’s obvious the cement wasn’t sealed properly and has deteriorated over time. It looked nothing like this when the hotel was first built. Gross. They’ll tell you it’s variances in the concrete. If that were true, it shouldn’t be wet.

The restaurant is excellent, and the service was wonderful. This Tapestry hotel by Hilton is set inside a historic textile mill, which made it a great fit for us since the hotel itself is a big part of the experience. We plan to return. Parking was the one drawback: it’s across the street, the unloading space is limited, and finding our way in the dark was a challenge.

We used The Loom Hotel for our wedding room block, and the groomsmen got ready in the suite. It was spacious, very clean, and just right for that. The guys were also happy to have the unexpected outdoor deck. The staff were so friendly and made sure we had what we needed. They even left a thoughtful card, champagne, and strawberries for our wedding. Our guests were happy with their stays and with the food at the Brook too. I’d recommend the Loom to anyone looking for a hotel.
