Courtyard by Marriott Providence Warwick

We were so glad we chose this hotel to be stranded in during the Blizzard of 2026. Jimmy Althenor stayed awake for more than 24 hours to look after guests while we were stuck inside in all that snow. Cassandra Sanders made sure nobody went hungry, putting out food for everyone and especially making sure the kids were fed. The employees here really care about people and took good care of us. Job well done!

I stay at Marriott’s several days a week for work, and this was my worst visit of 2025. The front desk area looked nice and met brand standards, and the woman who helped me was fantastic. But my room smelled strongly of mildew and mold. The heater rattled loudly, and the fridge vibrated. I arrived too late to leave, and I’m fortunate I can fall asleep easily. Most people would have a hard time sleeping there. I rarely complain, but Marriott should know how poorly this location represents the brand. It needs serious renovations.

I travel every week for work and often leave hotels disappointed by the service, but this stay was a breath of fresh air. Sarah at the front desk greeted me with a genuine smile and patiently answered all my questions, making me feel at home. Jeremy at the bistro was efficient and attentive, and gave me great food recommendations. The staff clearly care about their guests, and the service was unmatched. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rhode Island.

We stayed two nights. The room was a decent size and the food was reasonable, but the beds were uncomfortable and the sauna didn’t work. The pool was okay, though the broken tiles could cause an injury. At the restaurant, a nonworking POS system caused confusion. The in-room coffee maker was good. The TV was extremely dated, the kind you could find better than for free on the street. For the price, there are much better hotels.
