There’s no front desk or phone in the room, and nobody answered the number on the business card. Staff were nowhere to be seen. Parking is “free” in the sense that you have to find your own spot behind the building. We booked a room with two beds but got a suite with one bed and a pullout couch. They said they’d bring linens for the couch, but never did. The floors were filthy. I’ll never stay here again.

I really like it here. The rooms are cozy but have plenty of space, more like an apartment, with a great sized kitchen. The price and location are fantastic, and Javit, the owner, is super sweet and helpful. It feels personal, like renting from family, and would be great for a long term stay. Check out the restaurant downstairs that he owns with his son, the service is impeccable. Tell them Joy sent you ;)

Good price and location for this area, but the place is a little worn. We had a suite for three and got just one bath towel. There’s no lobby and no regular staff around, so it feels more like an inn than a hotel. Would we return? I don’t think my wife would be too happy.

The WiFi was free but spotty. It worked from 6 AM to 8 AM, then more people came online and the restaurant opened, and there wasn’t enough bandwidth. You might as well not have it. When we left, dinner plates from the night before were still on the restaurant tables. We checked out that morning with no one there, left the keys at the management desk, and went. Awful experience. Avoid at all costs. We booked a suite with a queen bed and sofa for three people, but on arrival nobody was at the hotel. We asked at the restaurant how to contact the manager and found out that person was the manager. The sofa bed was filthy and had no bedding. We asked about changing rooms and were told none were available, though the manager brought bedding up. Later we found there was no soap and only half a roll of toilet paper. Everything electrical was unplugged, which I’m not sure is a DC thing, so we had to plug it all in ourselves. The next day we had to call the manager for more toiletries. At 1:30 AM the second night, an alarm started and kept going, so we evacuated with two other guests. We could hear people in other rooms, but nobody else came out. We waited about 30 minutes and no police, fire crew, or staff showed up. Since we were visiting from abroad and had no phone to call anyone, we crossed the road to Safeway and asked the staff for help. They called management, who said someone would arrive in about five minutes. It was about 20 minutes before someone came. They went inside without speaking to us, and shortly afterward the alarm stopped. We were told it was a power cut just to the hotel that had set it off. Nobody came back out, so we went to our rooms rather than wait in the cold. The power didn’t return until the next morning. No one was there when we checked out. Only giving one star because I can’t give zero. The hotel seemed to have no staff on site once the restaurant closed.

The buffet breakfast in the restaurant downstairs had lots of choices and was delicious. Our room was spacious and had nice amenities, and the staff were friendly and capable. Georgetown Hill Inn is one of the nicest hotels in Arlington, and it’s a pleasure to spend time there.
