There’s plenty to do around here late at night, with bars, pizza places, and record shops in the neighborhood. The bus stops right in front of the hostel, though the train is a bit of a walk away. Inside, the beds have curtains and reading lights, so someone quietly reading won’t bother you. The hallway bathrooms are for single use, which is nice for privacy. The kitchen is well equipped, and they even provide free toiletries. One thing to know: you need ID from somewhere other than DC to stay here.

I felt safe here, and it was such a cozy, lovely place. There are two bus stops close by, which made getting around super easy. I also liked the quiet hours after 10 pm, and the amenities were varied and free. Being able to use the kitchen equipment and laundry without paying extra was great. I’d definitely come back.

The staff were a big help when my original trip ran into the January 25 snowstorm and I had to postpone it. I'd recommend paying for the flex cancel option, just in case. The room was small, but it suited me and felt affordable for what I got. It was also very clean, and the common area was pleasant, with free coffee and tea. There’s plenty to do nearby, plus more a short bus ride away. I really enjoyed my stay.

I left a few days later wishing I’d had the chance to thank Ms. Dorine before I went. She helped me settle into my room and was friendly the whole time, and the rest of the staff were incredibly kind too. When I arrived, Ms. Dorine welcomed me in French. Since French is my first language and English is harder for me to understand, finding someone I could talk to was a huge relief. She made the stay a very nice experience. I’d definitely recommend her and the establishment.
