We had a beautiful view of some monuments from the penthouse terrace floor, and the staff quickly took care of our requests. I especially loved Ms. Debbie at the front desk. She was professional, informative, friendly, and chic. Check-in and check-out were easy, and we’ll definitely come back.

I’m three months into a four-month stay, so I’ve had time to get to know the place. The room is clean and nicely decorated, and the bed is comfortable. Wednesday is the best day for the good cookies, and there’s free beer if you want it. The gym is actually pretty nice. The Green Line metro stop is right across the street, which makes getting around easy without a car, and there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance near the ballpark. The biggest problem is noise from the Bullpen, the open-air concert venue across the street. When there’s a show, music can be loud enough to make out the words in my room until 11 p.m. There’s nothing you can do about it. As it gets colder there are fewer concerts, but show nights also bring honking cars from traffic and police sirens responding to some disturbance. Breakfast is free, but something seems off about the orange juice, and the omelets and breakfast sausage are always tough. The kitchen sink in the room is narrower than a dinner plate, so washing anything without flooding the counter is difficult. Water pressure is poor too. I bought a lamp because, despite the huge windows, very little sun gets into the room due to the surrounding buildings. It feels dark even in the middle of the day, and there’s no overhead light in the main room. The TV only supports Netflix and Disney, so other apps won’t work even with my own login. The fitted sheets often slip because they don’t fit the mattress properly. Front desk service is mixed, about half the people are helpful and knowledgeable, while others say someone else will handle an issue the next day because they don’t know what to do. They’ve repeatedly charged the room to the wrong card, despite my personal and work cards being on file. I’ve had to ask them to correct it about four times, even after they said they’d remove the extra card. Once housekeeping set my alarm to go off around 5:30 a.m. The clock isn’t set up in a way that makes that seem accidental. I told the front desk, and they apologized, but as far as I know they didn’t investigate further.
The location is convenient for restaurants and all my meetings. Breakfast is great, though having just one trash can tucked behind the tables makes it hard to reach when large groups are seated. For a Hilton property, I’ve come to expect more. The pillows were far too soft, and I ended up stuffing towels into the pillowcases to get enough support.
The big downside was the noise from a party at the corner across from the hotel. There were lots of young kids and at least nine police cars around it. This seemed to happen on Friday and Saturday nights. Otherwise, I liked the location near the metro, restaurants, and coffee shops. The room was clean and seemed recently renovated, the bed was comfortable, and most staff were very helpful. One person at the breakfast bar seemed like they didn’t want to be there. Breakfast had lots of choices and was fairly good quality. The swimming pool is small, while the exercise area is well equipped.
There’s plenty of food and shopping within walking distance, and transit is close by. The lobby closes at 7 p.m., and you need your key card to get in, which made it feel safer. The service was okay. Staff were friendly, but didn’t anticipate what I might need or add anything to improve the stay. My room was mostly nice, though it had some damage that needed attention: a hole in the wall, and a sink that wasn’t mounted flush to it. There was no water in the room. The gym felt outdated, and the Peloton didn’t work. There’s definitely room to do better.
