The ocean view from our room was the best part. Waking up to the beach each morning was beautiful, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. We were also pleasantly surprised by a complimentary room upgrade. The room was exceptionally clean, and the whole hotel was spotless and well maintained. We'd happily return and recommend it for a clean, comfortable stay with amazing views.

We liked our stay so much that we added another night, and we're already planning to come back. The location on the Wharf was perfect, close to restaurants, museums, and Capitol attractions. Our rooms were clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated, and the lobby felt warm and welcoming. Check-in was easy, and all the staff were helpful. Aidan went especially far out of his way, always friendly, remembering our names, and noticing the details. We also had delicious food at the Willowsong and a wonderful time at the bar with Oscar, Jeremiah, and Edgar, who made great drinks and gave us excellent service.

The Wharf neighborhood is a big part of the appeal, with waterfront paths, restaurants, entertainment, and cultural spots just a short walk away. Many rooms look directly over the marina, and the river and green spaces add a nice sense of place. The InterContinental Washington D.C. – The Wharf has a polished but understated feel, from the patterned carpets and marble-topped surfaces to the warm lighting. Rooms are bright and contemporary, with large windows, some with balconies, plus comfortable seating, useful workspaces, and well-placed lighting. Soft neutral colors and metallic accents give them a calm, upscale atmosphere. Bathrooms are modern and simple, with illuminated mirrors, sleek vanities, and glass showers with quality fixtures. It's a comfortable waterfront base for a stylish stay in Washington D.C.

Isabella and Trey on the concierge team made our family visit especially memorable. Their local knowledge and care made getting around DC easy, whether we needed food suggestions, activities, transportation, or help making the most of our time. They were professional, warm, and clearly invested in guests. The beautiful waterfront setting, great location, and first-class amenities at the InterContinental at The Wharf made for a wonderful stay, and the whole property felt welcoming and thoughtfully designed. We'd gladly recommend it and look forward to returning to Washington, DC. Thanks to Isabella, Trey, and the entire team.

The Wharf area was fantastic, with restaurants, entertainment, and boat trips on the river nearby. Museums and national monuments were also close or just a short taxi ride away. This was my first trip to Washington DC, and I was delighted by the city and the hotel. I spent five vacation days there at the end of May 2026, and the staff were professional and welcoming from arrival through the whole stay. Adin, Erinn, and Melissa were so helpful that we soon felt like old friends. My clean, spacious room had AC and high-standard amenities. I also enjoyed the pool, gym, and spa. There was plenty of choice on the meal menus, and they considered special needs. I liked the food so much I sometimes had a second helping. I'd recommend the Incontinental Hotel The Wharf and Washington DC for a visit, and I know I'll be back soon. Thanks to everyone, see you all soon. From Miss Sandra Marie Campbell UK.
