The room was clean and quiet, and it had the usual amenities. The staff were rude to my sister, which we didn't appreciate. Otherwise, it's a hotel. The location is great, close to shopping and dining.

The TV never worked during the weekend. At first the front desk blamed the weather, even though it was only raining lightly, and it still wasn't working once the weather cleared. The smoke detector's bright light flashed every few seconds and kept bothering us. The beds were quite firm and uncomfortable. There was confusion at check-in, with one employee saying our room wasn't ready and another saying it was. Upstairs, it was clear the room hadn't been cleaned properly: one pillowcase had what looked like dried residue, the shower curtain had a noticeable brown stain, and a hair clip was on the floor beside the bed. At breakfast, we were told we hadn't been given the tickets included in our reservation. When we went back to the room, our key cards had stopped working, so we had to return to the desk again. I know problems can happen, but this was one of my most disappointing hotel stays. We paid nearly $300 for two nights, and at that price I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

The front desk staff were great, and the rooms were nice with comfortable beds. But the first room hadn't been cleaned. In the second, it was hot and clammy, and the air conditioning never seemed to work.

I lifted the blankets on the morning we checked out and found a bug in the bed. I usually check before getting in, and I'll be more careful next time. The clerk seemed concerned when I showed her, but the manager brushed it off as “it just looks like a June bug.” He didn't seem surprised or bothered. It very clearly wasn't a June bug, and even if it were, I wouldn't want it in bed with me. I've contacted customer service and still haven't heard back from anyone.
