Lillian Farms Bed & Breakfast

The whole property is breathtaking, and the main house is beautiful too. We stayed in the Angels Nest suite there, with its cloud ceiling and comfortable bed, and really enjoyed it. All the hosts were sweet and accommodating. I just wish we’d had more time. Next visit, we’d like to try one of the cottages.

The Southern Comfort cabin was cozy, with a screened-in porch and hot tub, and its decor is all alcohol bottles, which suits the name. My husband and I spent the weekend at Lillian Farms and had a great time. A few things need maintenance, though, including four lights that were out. For my taste, the cabin cost a bit much, but we still really enjoyed the stay. The beautiful property and fun amenities made it a good place to visit.

The Rose Cottage felt like a fairy tale, and the property was so peaceful. We spent time in the hot tub and rocked in the chairs on the back porch. We were in Chappell Hill for a wedding and needed somewhere for the weekend, and Lillian Farms worked perfectly. We hope to come back sometime.

The property at Lillian Farms is charming, but check your invoice closely and keep the paperwork. We stayed in a cottage for four nights while in the area for a family reunion and celebration of life near Brenham, Texas. We booked based on a website promotion offering the fourth night free, but the invoice didn’t include the discount. Calls were rarely answered, so we left several voicemails before Barbara called back. She said her daughter handled billing and promised to fix the invoice. Barbara reassured us several times over the following weeks and during our stay, but the bill was never corrected and our credit card was overcharged. Before leaving, we went to the main house to speak with Barbara in person. She again said she’d resolve it, but days after we got home, nothing had changed. We had to dispute the charge with our credit card company and provide proof of the promised discount. We did get a refund, thankfully, but only after a long process. Others in our group had similar billing problems. Barbara comes across as kind and well meaning, but the repeated delays and failure to fix a straightforward billing error are concerning. Future guests should check their bills, save all documentation, and be ready to follow up if a charge is wrong.
