Mint House Washington DC Downtown by Kasa

The location is right in the city center, with bus and metro stops an easy walk away, even with our 4-year-old toddler. We stayed a couple of days. The room was very clean, and the kitchen had what we needed to cook. The employees were committed, friendly, and polite.

The one-bedroom apartment felt like home, with a full kitchen, living and dining area, separate bedroom, and full bathroom. It was beautiful and had an easy check-in. I’d move in if I could. Nearby food, drinks, and a pharmacy are walkable, and getting a Lyft or Uber from the train was easy, with Union Station just a short ride away. I stayed this past weekend and plan to come back for longer. I didn’t explore the gym or workspace this time. There’s no phone in the apartment, so you need your own mobile to call the front desk. I couldn’t get the ice maker working, though that didn’t matter much for one night. The heater was a little loud, but it didn’t bother my sleep.

The bed and pillows were so comfortable, and the room was luxurious and super clean, with all the amenities I wanted and more. I couldn’t tell whether there was local TV or cable, but I downloaded and signed into my YouTubeTV account on the Roku smart TV. Earplugs were left on both sides of the bed, which made sense by morning: there was machinery noise outside, and I could hear people upstairs walking, talking, and playing music. The floors seem thin. I’d stay again.

The rooms are in very good shape, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The gym is stylish and well equipped, and the location is perfect. The air conditioning was the problem: it was very loud and practically impossible to control. We couldn’t turn it off, so we covered it with blankets and cushions to cut the noise at night.
