The location is a bonus, right by the National Mall and McPherson Metro. I lived here for two and a half years, and it was the best building in every regard of any place I’ve lived in DC. The apartments are modern and have great amenities. The building is clean and safe, with a friendly, attentive front desk, a gym with a Peloton, and a rooftop offering the best views of DC. Management communicates very well and goes above and beyond, especially the maintenance team. Service requests get completed right away. I can’t speak highly enough about this building!

The apartments at the Woodward Building Apartments are beautiful, with high ceilings, and every unit has its own washer and dryer. The staff are wonderful, from management to the front desk concierges to maintenance technicians. In my 2+ years here, every issue and request has been handled promptly and professionally. The location is prime, within walking distance of national museums and monuments, theaters, restaurants, the White House, many universities and federal government agencies, Capital One Arena, the Kennedy Center, and the Metro. If you’re looking to rent downtown DC, I highly recommend it.

I’ve lived in the Woodward Building for nearly three years and love it. The rooftop deck has stunning views, and the building is a beautiful historic treasure in a perfect location with terrific amenities. The units are clean, modern, and very quiet. What stands out most is the front desk staff and management. They’re friendly, professional, and truly committed to helping residents enjoy their homes. It’s a great place to live!

I’m on my fourth lease in a row at the Woodward. It’s my downtown DC home. I started out in a one-bedroom with a den, and after three years recently moved up to a two-bedroom, two-bath apartment with extra garage storage. The building feels luxurious from the moment I or a guest walks in. There’s soft classical music in the foyer, welcoming rugs and pristine details, and a friendly concierge to greet me. They sign for Amazon packages while I’m at the office, take my FedEx returns and dry cleaning in the morning, and receive my groceries for me to pick up when I get home at 6pm. The attached coffee shop smells like fresh coffee when I come back from a workout in the second-floor gym. During my upgrade, management let me hold on to my old apartment keys while already having the new ones, which made moving much easier and stress-free. They treat me like family. The online residents portal makes it easy to submit maintenance requests, and the dedicated staff resolves them in a timely way. I also appreciate that it’s smoke-free, so I don’t have to deal with marijuana stench when passing neighbors’ doors. There’s a garbage chute at the end of the hall, a service elevator for deliveries, and underground parking for vehicles, for an additional charge, and tenants’ bicycles. Neighborhood businesses are a block away, and the rooftop lounge has stunning views. You can touch the fireworks on NYEve and July 4th. Metro access at McPherson Square is very convenient, and DC has a great option for people who like city life without needing a car. Treat yourself, life is too short. To me, the Woodward Building is the best luxury apartment home available downtown.

I hadn’t moved in yet, but I could already tell the service was excellent. The general manager, Mike, and a woman I spoke with on the phone were kind, professional, efficient, responsive, and compassionate. They understood how stressful finding a home and getting settled can be, and tried to make it easier. They offered to receive my package before move-in, sent pictures to show where I should park that day, and the woman on the phone spoke with me kindly twice and shared useful information. Highly recommended! Added 12/29/2020: I’ve lived here for a few months now, and I still feel the same way. Management and the service staff are a wonderful crew, attentive and responsive, and always there when you need help. They know what they’re doing and are flexible, too. I’ve had some issues that needed attention, and they’ve worked hard with me to find solutions. No place can be free of problems all the time. Having professional support for your residential experience has been the most valuable thing for me.
