Fairfield Inn & Suites Watertown Thousand Islands

Breakfast makes mornings with the kids much easier, and the staff have been so nice each time I’ve stayed here. I checked out today and realized I’d left my charger behind. When I went back that afternoon, they’d found it and were friendly and quick about tracking it down for me.

The location is great, but the room was dirty and I only stayed because I needed somewhere for the night. I travel about 26 weeks a year, and these were the worst workers I’ve ever encountered. Stay anywhere else. Zero stars if possible.

We’d enjoyed our first stay here within the past year, with friendly, attentive staff, but this second visit left us uncomfortable. Each stay was 4-5 nights. The parking lot was being resurfaced and restriped, bringing awful noise and smell, plus chaos and inconvenience. We were woken by the noise at 6 am. Housekeeping was on the ball, but Karen at the front desk really needs to work on customer service. She and the other staff seemed more focused on smoke breaks and chatting than their jobs. Breakfast every morning was lumpy oatmeal, imitation eggs, and greasy sausage or bacon. The pool was closed because of “issues with.chemicals“.

Breakfast was a highlight, with lots of fresh, tasty options to choose from. The staff were welcoming, check-in went smoothly, and everything looked spotless and well cared for. My room was comfortable, very clean, and had what I needed for a good night’s sleep. The pool itself was clean, but the water color seemed a little off, so I wasn’t sure about using it. Aside from that, I had a fantastic stay and would come back. I’d recommend it to anyone wanting a clean, comfortable visit.
