Parking was adequate, the location worked well for where we needed to go, and our rooms were clean when we arrived. Water pressure was fine too. But in room 2114 the remote was sticky and the TV had no sound. We arrived late, so I let that go at first. The following evening, our rooms hadn't been cleaned, there were no fresh towels, and the shower dispenser was empty. If we'd been told it was two towels per room for the whole stay and to bring soap, I could have planned for it. Chad at the front desk had trouble with the room numbers when he helped us, and when we raised these problems later, he ignored us and walked away. We left a note on Chad's notepad in case something urgent had come up, but haven't heard back. We also asked about compensation and got no response. If someone had considered that request, we'd raise the review. Without those three problems, I'd have rated the stay three stars.
I didn't stay overnight, but a friend made a short-notice visit and I went in with them. The staff member was patient and pleasant, and offered a discount through the website. The place was quiet, clean, and friendly. I peeked into the room while we were saying goodbye. It was small, but tidy and clean, with what you'd need for the night.
They handled my request to add one more day, which I appreciated. I was a student then, waiting for my apartment lease to start in September, and stayed here for three weeks in August 2022. The rate seemed reasonable, and having free parking was a big plus.
The room had two queen beds and was a little dusty, but clean and fine for what we paid. Parking is free. What really stood out was the woman at the front desk on Sat 12/6/25. My gold earring, which means a lot to me, fell down the bathroom sink drain, and there was no cover on it. I was leaving Sunday morning, so I asked whether a plumber could come that day. She took photos of the pipe and said she'd speak with the manager since the facilities person was off for the weekend. We went to meet friends, and when we came back, she'd managed to get the earring retrieved. I was so grateful for how compassionate she was and how much effort she put in to help.
I paid $146 for a room and came in that morning with more than three hours left on the booking, but they didn't give me a key to an unused room. Housekeeping was still cleaning the room. Mary came down and told the front desk guy she was cleaning it and he should give me another room. He said he would help her finish instead of finding me a different room. That was unprofessional and nasty. Mary knew it was wrong, and told him so. I was in the room for 15 minutes before walking out. I don't know if I was treated this way because I'm a younger Black guy in Watertown, but I shouldn't be treated as less than anyone else. A guest from another country said they'd been seeing this for three weeks, too. Nobody should face discrimination of any kind. The workers seem scared to speak up. They should have footage of a guest being checked into a room still being cleaned, with an 11 a.m. checkout. This was the worst stay of my 40 years. If you're staying in Boston or Watertown, don't stay here.
