Little Missouri Inn & Suites

I travel often and know problems can happen, but the way this was handled was unacceptable. When I tried to resolve it with the hotel and Travelocity, the hotel wouldn't take responsibility and seemed to trust the employee's account over mine, despite the details and documentation I provided. During my September 5th-8th stay at Little Missouri Inn, I found a TICK in the bed and reported it to the front desk right away. The staff member only said she'd pass it on to management, with no apology or offer of another room. Later, management claimed I'd been offered one, but that never happened, and I would have accepted if it had. Being told “it was just a tick” was dismissive of a real health and sanitation concern. I can't recommend staying here based on how my concern was treated.

The staff were friendly and gave good service, and the gym and pool area were nice conveniences. My room was comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, and the bathroom was clean and tidy. Breakfast was included, with a good variety of food and drinks, and the dining area was set up nicely for a relaxed meal. I enjoyed my stay at Little Missouri Inn & Suites and would recommend it to anyone wanting a clean, comfortable place with good amenities.

I got a warm welcome at check-in, and the location is handy, with supermarkets and places to eat nearby. The rooms were spacious, clean, and nicely presented. The shower was enjoyable, with good pressure and plenty of hot water. The beds felt cheap compared with the rest of the hotel, though, and squeaked and shifted whenever I rolled over. Breakfast was disappointing too, with no fresh fruit.

We booked this hotel for our basketball team in early March 2025 specifically for the pool, switching from another hotel a few weeks earlier. On arrival, we found the pool and hot tub drained for maintenance. I called two days before check-in to confirm, and nobody mentioned they were unavailable. Breakfast was decent, and the person running it was friendly. The bigger problem was our room: it had heat, but the air was stale and too warm to sleep in. The wall thermostat showed “off,” and the unit controls didn't get the fan working or cool the room. At the desk in the morning, I was told the wall controller didn't operate anything and to use the unit controls. When I asked again that afternoon because the room was still stuffy and hot, they said nothing could be done, though the attendant noted the cooling issue. I've emailed the hotel twice through its website and heard nothing. I wouldn't recommend staying here.
