The lake view from our deck was lovely, and our room felt roomy and comfortable, with a big bed, private bathroom, and plenty of storage. Hudson Manor is an easy walk from shops and restaurants, plus the main entrance to Watkins Glen Park and the Gorge Trail. Jenn and Adam have done a wonderful job updating the historic house. Breakfast was served together in the dining room at 8:30 am, and Jenn sent us off well fed for hikes and sightseeing. There’s also a little guest kitchen with coffee, tea, and a microwave, and Hannah keeps a small fridge stocked with drinks and snacks to buy. Even though the house sits right above the main road, the windows kept the noise down. Jenn had useful tips on attractions and places to eat. A really enjoyable stay, and I’d come back.

There are several decks and spots to sit outside, which were great for enjoying the early summer weather. Jen was a lovely host, and we looked forward to her breakfast each morning. The rooms were very clean, with new carpet throughout. Some of the Google photos seem out of date. We just wrapped up a weekend at the Hudson Manor and would happily return.

The view across Seneca Lake was still great in summer. We stayed mid-week in the Keuka Room, which was well equipped and had a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was tasty, and Jen was nice to chat with. Watkins Glen is conveniently close, and Hammondsport, Geneva, and Ithaca are all within reach.

Watkins Glen and the nearby attractions are very close, and guests can use a full kitchen. Getting into the house does involve several stairs. Jen was attentive and reachable by phone when we wanted to ask about things. She served a nice breakfast at 8:30 each morning and had helpful ideas for local outings.

Jim and Kristine put a lot of effort into making guests comfortable, and they know the region well. The gourmet breakfast is another highlight. We’ve always found the accommodations clean and comfortable, and the new bed on this visit was nice. It’s a beautiful historic house in a historic town, with Watkins Glen’s charming center not far away. We’re already looking forward to coming again.
