The room was easily the best part: roomy, well equipped, with a coffee maker and about six coffee, tea, or cocoa packets plus two little bottles of water. The bed was above average and the TV was great. The fridge is small and has no freezer, so I couldn't put my ice packs in one. We've stayed twice, a week apart. The casino is on the small side, though it has a decent mix of games, and it was pretty quiet. Restaurant and bar service dragged because they seemed short staffed. The servers weren't the problem, they looked overworked. Some employees seemed bored and unhappy. If food, drinks, or staff interaction matter most, I'd probably stay somewhere else. If the room comes first, this place works.

The casino credit they gave us for free made for a lot of fun, and the staff were friendly. We found the hotel clean throughout, with tasteful rooms and common areas. After three weeks of road trip stays, our last two nights at the Lucky Star Hotel were easily the best.

At check-in, the room for my grown kids hadn't been made and smelled of smoke. The front desk told us there was no way to accommodate us. Then one of my kids was profiled over their sexual orientation. Staff asked for ID and wanted to know if my kid was female or male. It upset all of us, my family, my husband, my mother, and both my grown kids. I'd booked two rooms for my birthday weekend for the last two years. This February 2026, we did the same thing, with rooms, dinner, and spending money. I will never spend another dollar with LUCKY STAR IN WATONGA, and I'll make sure further action is taken.

We had a fun stop at the casino on our way through. It felt like the money went around a bit instead of just disappearing.

My bf dj'd on NYE at Lucky Star Hammon, and we stayed here afterward. The room was nice and clean, even the bathroom. Front desk staff made everything easy and quick, and were friendly. There was beautiful bison artwork on every floor. Had a wonderful time.
