The first lady I spoke with was welcoming, but that changed once money came into it. I accidentally booked Friday and Saturday instead of Saturday and Sunday, and then had a family issue. I know the mistake was mine, but they wouldn't really hear me out or work with me on different dates. They wanted me to pay for another night. For what I paid for one night, I won't stay here again.

The room was comfortable and clean for a good rate, and the front desk guy was nice. It's a typical motel layout, with rooms around a courtyard. The parking lot is a little crumbly and some appliance handles are rusty. Rooms at the back are quieter since they're farther from the busy street. I'd stay again.

The rooms were mostly clean, though there was toe fungus in the bathtub. The service was awful and super rude. They raise the prices every night and take advantage of kind people. Strangers were allowed to park right in front of my room, and if you go more than twenty minutes past 11 a.m., they bang on the door as loudly as they can. I was breastfeeding, and the lady who speaks English told me, "that's your problem." They don't care about your well-being or your kids. Inhumane. Don't come here!

The room was quiet on a Friday night and clean enough, with clean sheets and towels. It had a fridge and microwave, which we need, and the firm bed was still comfortable. At $117, it was a great stay. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, and the new owners seem to be working on fixing up the property. We were heading down to Pismo Beach and had booked the wrong night on Expedia by mistake. When we arrived at 9:15 p.m., the gentleman kindly changed it for us. Thank you, Royal Inn!
