I paid $100 a night for junk at exactly the same price as Marriott, and I'm literally mad about it. They need to charge under $50 or add microwaves and tea pots, clean the linens properly, and provide a real breakfast. This place is cheap, dirty, stinky, poorly managed, and badly done for what it costs. Who are they fooling? The mattress sank in the middle, and the cheap metal box spring made noise whenever I moved. Doors slam extremely loudly, and I could hear the neighbors' TV through the walls. It's not quality at all. The TV is right over the desk, so how are you meant to work there? There was no tea or coffee pot in the room, unlike other hotels in this price range, and no microwave either. The tiled floors were crummy and cold. The bedding looked clean until I checked under the blanket and found hairs and dirt. The pillows smelled as if they'd never been washed, and the bedding stank, maybe because they skimp on laundry soap. They advertised nice soap and shampoo but had Dove, which I absolutely hate. I'm totally dissatisfied and won't stay at another one. Marriott wins again. Fairfield is much nicer, usually clean, and has a microwave and tea in the room. Other 2-3 star hotels include everything for the same price.

The room was a good deal, with soft beds, pillows in different firmnesses, and a wall temperature control that worked great. The shower never got as hot as I like for a relaxing wash, no matter the time or how far I turned it up. On Sunday the continental breakfast had run out of plastic spoons, though it could have been worse. I heard repeated loud footsteps in the hall when I was trying to fall asleep around 10:30 p.m., then again at 7 a.m. I peeked through the peephole and saw an ordinary woman hurrying back and forth. Maybe she was staff, I don't know, but the noise and all that back-and-forth seemed odd and made me concerned at first.

We're regulars at this Avid and love how quiet and well kept it is. The staff are amazing, and the new breakfast is wonderful, with a good range of hot food that was fresh and well stocked.

My first stay at an Avid was a nice one. The place was really clean and comfortable, breakfast had lovely options, and the coffee and water service were great. I'd stay again for sure.

Marina was fabulous. I was exhausted from traveling, and her friendly smile and helpful tips about the area were such a nice welcome. Thanks for the kindness and five-star service. The beds were comfortable, and the whole room and hotel lobby areas were extremely clean. Parking was well lit too. I couldn't be happier staying here.
